About Liberty Dog Walker

Our Philosophy

 At Liberty Dog Walker, we believe that dogs are more than just pets—they are cherished members of the family. This belief drives everything we do. We understand that each dog has its own personality, needs, and preferences, and we are committed to providing individualized care that reflects that understanding.

We don't just walk dogs; we build relationships with them.   Our mission is to ensure that every dog in our care feels safe, happy, and loved. With a foundation of respect, kindness, and meticulous attention to detail, we prioritize your dog’s well-being above all else. 

About Me

My Passion

On December 11, 2011, our family welcomed Lola into our lives, and everything changed. She was the epitome of calm and love, a dog who adored people and got along with every other dog she met. My life quickly began to revolve around Lola, and in 2012, I launched Big City Dog Walking.  Lola often joined our pack walks, winning the hearts of everyone she met.

After a couple of wonderful years of dog walking, I had to shift my focus as our family grew. I dedicated myself to my real estate career, helping countless families make one of the most significant decisions of their lives. But Lola remained a constant source of joy and companionship.

In 2023, Lola began to have heart troubles, and on April 10, 2024, she passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Her passing marked a turning point for me, leading me back to my true passion—caring for dogs. I realized it was time to share the joy Lola brought to our family with others by providing the same loving and attentive dog walking services.

 Puppies can start walks with us as young as 4 months and once they've received their 3rd round of shots.  We take care to make sure they are integrated slowly so they are not overwhelmed.

This is one of the most important questions to ask.  All our wallks are predominantly leashed walks through the local parks and neighbourhoods.  Our goal is to offer variety so we alter our routes daily to keep things new and exciting for the pack.  On occasion, we may visit one of the local dog parks where they will be closely supervised.  

 Just email us as soon as you’re able to. We’ll take note of the dates and when you expect your dog to be back.  We do ask for 24-hour notice when possible. 

 

At Liberty Dog Walker, our commitment and passion for dogs set us apart. We prioritize your dog’s safety and happiness, and our walkers undergo extensive training to ensure they provide the highest level of care.

Sergio, the heart and soul of Liberty Dog Walker, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to every walk. He has completed Training Caesar's Way, a certification earned after spending five days at Cesar Millan’s Ranch in California, where he learned invaluable insights into dog behavior. Sergio also holds certificates in holistic nutrition and a diploma in canine nutrition, giving him a deep understanding of your dog’s overall well-being.

Sergio spent a year training with one of Ontario’s top dog behaviorists to refine his skills. He has also volunteered as a dog walker at Toronto Animal Services, further demonstrating his dedication to the welfare of dogs.

When you choose Liberty Dog Walker, you’re choosing a service led by someone who is not only extensively trained but also genuinely passionate about dogs. Your pet will be in the best hands, enjoying a safe, fun, and enriching experience every time.

 At the moment, there’s no minimum requirement. However, we recommend scheduling at least three walks per week to help build consistency and strengthen the bond with your dog.
